look before you leap next time. there are creams that you can put on them that will help. other than that I would say take good care of your skin.

edit; It usually helps when the scar(s) are much "fresher" but it does work on older scars sometimes.

There are a lot of scar creams out there. You should probably research on the net to see what works best and what doesn't.

I myself haven't found any that work but my scars are horrible. But I'm sure you could find something.
